Cape May County - The Cape May County MUA (Municipal Utilities Authority) has to do a much better job managing recycling in Cape May County. Often out in public, it is difficult to find a recycling container. Then when you do, often there is regular trash in them. Where we live on the island, the weekenders and tourists, as well as quite a few year-round residents, just throw all their garbage and recyclables into a big trash bag, and then all of it ends up in the dump. In the 80s and 90s, county government had regular improvement meetings with each town to make sure solid waste was handled as well as possible. It is not good.
