Avalon - There are "no dogs allowed" signs in parks in Avalon because most of us don't want to be bothered by other people's precious pets and their mess. I am a dog lover, but I don't love other people's dogs. Dogs are pets, not people. In seven decades of life with pets, I have never found it necessary to have a park or playground for my pets. This obsession with treating dogs like humans has gone too far. I have owned as many as three dogs at one time, and kept them healthy, happy and exercised without a dog park and without leaving their mess for others to clean up.
