Avalon - Someone commented on how sad Michelle Obama looked leaving the White House, inferring that she was sorry to see President Trump take office. I disagree. I think she is sad because she cannot take any more lavish vacations with her mother and all her friends on the taxpayers' dime. No more fancy-free clothes from designers and big parties with celebrities at our expense. The Obamas have spent more on vacations than several presidents combined. Our national debt should improve with them gone.

According to a McClatchy DC headline Dec. 17, 2015, "Price of Obama getaways $70 million so far, and counting," however, we were unable to corroborate the above statement, "The Obamas have spent more on vacations than several presidents combined." The article did, however, state, "Obama does not take an extraordinary amount of vacation time. He’s taken 23 vacations spanning all or part of 177 days ... By comparison, President George W. Bush at this point in his tenure had made 68 visits to his Texas ranch spanning all or part of 441 days, and 10 visits to his family’s home in Kennebunkport, Maine, spanning all or part of 39 days ..."
