Avalon - To our mayor and Borough of Avalon. The public dock on 23rd and Ocean is a joy. It draws so many of us to swim, paddle board, kayak, fish, crab, and float with the tide. However, there is a problem for those living in this vicinity. When we have a high tide or bad weather the water flows right through the railing spaces out to the street, into our garages and homes at great distress and expense to owners. Remove railings and construct bulkheads as well as an independent barrier to be attached at the top of the steps only when flooding is imminent. We believe it would help.
