Avalon - It is May 27, and though the big crowds have gone, on my street in Avalon, there are 83 trash cans out on the curb. At 5 p.m., the weather service called for thunderstorms tonight, and at 9 p.m. the weather went crazy. 30 mph winds and heavy rains, and once again, lids, trash and cans all over our once nicely kept properties. The street is strewn with filth. This same gross situation also happened on 74 other streets in Avalon tonight. Stone Harbor's streets, on the other hand, look just fine, because Stone Harbor's public works does not require trash on the curb.
