Avalon - Avalon character destroyed by developers and real estate agents - I 100% agree with the "Heartbroken in Avalon" comment. At the very least, commercial development could be creative and in the spirit of a beachside town, rather than bland and anonymous buildings that seem chosen out of a catalog and in order to maximise space. Why aren't there regulations about this? Cape May is a gorgeous town with a vibrant food and culture scene and respect for heritage. Avalon seems to have suffered the brunt of developers, politicians and realtors.
