Avalon / Stone Harbor - I have never in my 60 years seen anyone spraying "hundreds of gallons" of herbicide and/or pesticide on their property, nor have I ever seen anyone using a 55-gallon drum to apply herbicides and/or pesticides to their property. Next time the spouter stating this as a common occurrence sees this happening, please take pictures and send them to the local media as proof.
