Finally, the police at least warned somebody about riding two abreast! The fact that the officer ran a quick, non-intrusive background check was good police work too. How is he supposed to know that just because they are riding bikes in Avalon, they are not wanted somewhere else, or wanted for unpaid fines in Avalon? The officer was well within the scope of his authority to do that. Perhaps if more police both enforced biking law and took the time to be diligent when dealing with the public, we could help alleviate multiple problems. Good work officer, thanks.
