Retired Marine Corps General John Allen called Trump's attack on the Gold Star Khan family - now a major flashpoint dominating the news - "shameful" and "beyond the pale." Trump truly insulted veterans everywhere. And for the response of Trump's very own VP candidate, Mike Pence, whose son is actively serving in the marines; no comment from the father of a marine putting his life on the line, and who himself could some day become a Gold Star parent. Furthermore, Pence dodged and referred all comments about the Khan's to Trump's aides.
