Villas - It's a shame that we have to shame people, in this case, professional athletes, to show respect for this country. These millionaire ballplayers should thank God every day that they were born in the United States of America. Where else in the world could they be paid millions of dollars to play a sport for a living? Yes, they have the constitutional right not to stand, but it's distasteful and disrespectful for them to refuse. Many of these players do not live bright, shining examples of citizenship off the field, so why should we expect them to show basic patriotism?
