Avalon - Gun advocates place a higher value on Second Amendment rights than on another right enshrined in the Constitution itself: the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Tens of thousands of Americans are deprived of that right each year by gun violence and the NRA's "any gun for anyone, anytime, anyway, any place" philosophy. Gun advocates are wrong when they say that government may not infringe on Second Amendment rights. The Supreme Court ruled that government has the right to pass laws limiting those rights.
