North Cape May - Watching the tragic news of the Manchester, England bombing at the arena the news commentators continually alluded to what kind of device was used to create havoc. The word "device" I found to be ironic in today's technology. Don't we name the toys of technology in the same term as devices whether it is a handheld glass enclosure or a device as a smartphone, etc.? I find the definition of a device, aka gadget as a thing made or adapted for a particular purpose. The explosive device used in the UK had a purpose. It makes one wonder what is the purpose of our tech toys?
