Cape May - We follow the Wildwood rabbi's weekly Herald column religiously, but are confused by a statement made in the paper July 16, which we hope he might address in a future column. Our confusion is thinking he is an American born in our West, but he says in his piece that "I feel pride in my Jewish homeland." Is he speaking about his religion or his land of birth?
Moderator's Note:
"Israel is the homeland for the Jewish people. Even though I was born in Denver, grew up in Arizona and was ordained in California, Israel will eternally remain my homeland and its people my people. I hope this helps your understanding." - Rabbi Jeffrey Lipschultz
