Wildwood Crest - I supported the International Women's strike March 8. Fifty countries with 400 rallies in towns and cities across the world are participating. It is a wide banner of protest involving women's causes, and it also involves school walkouts, work absences, and non-participation in the worldwide economy (spending money). In the USA in particular - just like the millions who protested Trump in the Women's March Jan. 21 - there are hundreds of thousands of women again protesting Trump for his views and policies that transcend partisan politics.
Moderator's Note:
An NBC News article March 8 states, "More than 50 countries around the globe have events scheduled in Hong Kong, Bosnia, Senegal, Cambodia, Pakistan, Guatemala, and more, according to a Facebook event page for the International Women's Strike. On a local level, nearly 400 separate rallies and marches are planned in cities and towns around the world."
