Cape May - I am tired of hearing people say that Facebook and Twitter can censor anyone they want because they are private companies. (Ironically, these are many of the same people who said a truly private baker cannot refuse to bake a cake for a wedding to which they are morally opposed). FB and Twitter are Publicly traded companies with fiduciary responsibilities to their shareholders. When they do things that reduce their profitability they are not fulfilling that obligation ie: cutting off all news including emergency notifications in the country of Australia. They are public, NOT private companies.
