Cape May - Anybody who would make a statement like this Lower Township spouter did, "Rather than pumping sand on the beach, how about people just move back from the beach," is a candidate for the "Darwin Award." The beach is why people come here and spend money. Their money is the reason why we have supermarkets that stay open year round, modern hospitals and thousands of other jobs. Everybody who works in tourism is a customer for all of the other businesses and services that are not directly tourist-related. It is inconceivable that in the 21st Century people would fail to understand this.
