Wildwood - Can someone explain to me why year-round rentals in Wildwood are three times the national average? Rent rates are up to $650 per bedroom in 50-plus-year-old houses. Is this a backdoor attempt to control low-income tenants and Section 8? A one-bedroom apartment in Wildwood is going for $1,400 a month, conveniently just enough above the monthly allotment for Section 8 to box out a rental. The rents in general are out of control for even a young, working family of four.
