Rio Grande - I can completely eliminate the Russians, Chinese and anyone else from hacking polling places at election time. Go back to paper ballots. You will need to show ID to vote. You've had like three years to get one. You'll have a list of candidates' names with boxes beside them. Put an "X" next to your candidate, put your ballot in a box. It's that easy. We got along fine doing this for years. Just improve security/supervision for the boxes so they don't get "lost." It will probably be cheaper by saving on purchase/maintenance costs for automated machines which are just as likely to have "problems."
