Does anyone out there know how to recycle properly?

Erma - Does anyone out there know how to recycle properly? I live in a quiet 55-plus mobile home community. We have a small roofless enclosure clearly marked "bottles, cans, paper, cardboard only." The things our tenants throw in there are unbelievable - furniture, TVs, rugs, plate glass, artificial trees, beach umbrellas, styrofoam blocks. Someone even tried recycling their dog's poop. Now that China is not buying as much of our recyclables, costs are going way up so recycling properly is more important than ever. People please, let's help the environment and do it right.
