Avalon - I would really like summer residents or tourists to understand that in New Jersey, bicycles have to follow the same rules as cars. They have to keep right, stop for red lights and stop signs and display a light at night. Bicycles are not pedestrians. Cars don’t have to yield to bikes unless the bike has the right of way on a through street or at a green light. Bikes can be fun at the shore. A bike accident can be a tragedy that could have been avoided if both cyclists and drivers obey the law.
