Villas - If schools were doing their jobs properly, children would not be bogged down with hours of homework. Reinforce one main thing that the child may have had difficulty with (i.e., division, multiplication, etc.) and focus on that, with no more than two pages of practice. Bogging children down with hours of homework is frustrating for the child and cuts into precious family time. Children need to have a break after being in school all day. How would you like it if your boss gave you hours of work to do after you spent all day on the job? How do you think you would feel about your boss? The job?
