Cape May County should do as two other counties already do regar

Dennis Township - Cape May County should do as two other counties already do regarding eliminating the local property assessment process and placing this responsibility with the county. Atlantic County also is now contemplating this county-wide scenario. This would provide for uniform fair-market values, a stream-lined and impartial appeals process, and it would take out of the equation municipal foot-dragging to complete revaluations and promote uniform zoning enforcement to protect property values for all taxpayers. In Dennis Twp. in particular, this process needs to be placed in more objective hands.
