Could we stop with all the “improvements?” Every driveway and cross street has a painted highway crossing, two stop signs, etc. Now, people are calling for benches. Next, the whole thing will have to have lighting. Then they’ll want portable potties which will lead to permanent brick and mortar bathrooms (water and sewer hookups). Just mark off every quarter mile with a spray painted line so if you need to call 911 you can tell where you are. Then leave it alone. The cost will be enough to replace every few years.
