Wildwood - I guarantee that Eric Frein's rights are being carefully protected; no cop or DA wants to blow this case on a technicality. Someone wrote, "the AP is reporting Pa. police prevented a lawyer hired by Eric Frein's parents from speaking to his potential client until the next day." It does not matter who hired Frein a lawyer, he will get one when he asks for one. If he did not invoke his right to counsel, the lawyer can't insert himself into the case. He is perfectly entitled to knowingly and voluntarily waive his rights. Frien's parents have no standing, he is an adult.
