Sea Isle City - In the spring, every Wednesday, the Naval Academy's Brigade of Midshipmen performs a parade within the yard. They are well dressed, have a professional Navy band providing the best marching music, and sail expensive training boats along the Severn River as background. Salute artillery and overflight assets are available. It is a class act and available at the president's amusement. Like most parades, it is really only valuable for fund solicitation. It is of no military value. The uniforms for marching are thrown away the day before graduation with the same intensity as bra burning.
