Sea Isle City - My forebear era was faced with English as a foreign language. They came here in an era when there was no mass communication, so even some elementary aspects of American culture was strange to them. They too, came in droves, entering a frightening new existence. They loved their own culture and their mother tongue, yet they learned English, assimilated as well as possible and contributed to our beautiful country. If our new immigrants are too lazy or stubborn to do the same, who says we want or need them?
