Regarding the article on the Immigrant Trust Directive and Sheriff Nolan’s view.There’s a good reason not to cooperate with ICE. Does normal law enforcement wear masks? Ashamed to have an identity badge? Wear bodycam? Subject to rules of engagement and accountability? This is not to mention that an immigration offense is a civil not a criminal offense. ICE is detaining both citizens and non-citizens without due process. Is this what Nolan is advocating? Not even most Trump voters envisioned masked thugs terrorizing long standing members of their community which has happened in both red and blue states. Ther are many very good reasons not to cooperate with ICE!
