As a millennial, I have to push back on Art Hall’s opinion piece. I feel it’s judging younger generations and comparing being a Boomer at 20 vs Gen Z at 20. It’s the same old trope. Gen Z was handed one of the worst childhoods and young adulthoods because our governments didn’t protect them from tech oligarchs. An adult can only function as much as their childhood development allows. I’d like to see more Boomers finding ways to support our younger generations instead of judging them. Bans on cellphones and social media is a step to have more fully developed functioning adults.
