Commenting on the spout concerning mexico from the CMCH, I retired from the US government after 40 years in the security/intelligence disciplines and I agree 100% that the streets of Mexico are violent and unsafe. It is a horrible country and why anyone would choose it to visit is beyond me. My 40 years have taught me that the streets of most middle eastern country are safer by far. You should send a thank you to the staff at the resort who pleaded with them "not to leave the premises, because they would no longer be safe." Violent crime is rampant in Acapulco, Cozumel and other tourist attractions.
