The House just approved cuts to WIC for $200 million. The cuts target fruit and vegetable benefits for nearly 5.4 million pregnant woman and young children. So everyone was mad that poor people might buy soda or cake. So we cut their access to fruits and vegetables? Oh, and the birth rate is down, so we are giving pregnant woman less nutrition. God forbid someone need help in this country.
