Re the scallop spout: many comments about high fuel prices in previous admins. The difference is that back then the US dollar was worth more. Our purchasing power is so bad compared to even two years ago, let alone ten, so $5 gas then didn't have the same impact as it does now. Our prices are inflating and currency is deflating. I hope we don't lose our wonderful restaurants as result... Their margins are tight as it is.
