RE: the letter to the editor explaining why the writer participates in the "No Kings" protests. I respect not only your right to protest peacefully, but agree w/ a # of your ideals. However, if we are going to oppose authoritarianism we need to do so from the Left too. Blue states, including NJ, were oppressive during Covid. Red states were far less so, and their Covid #s did not increase as a result. Further, my 1st Amendment rights are violated when the Left commands I betray my religious principles (and science) regarding XX and XY chromosomes. Be principled, not partisan.
