I read Assemblyman Simonsen's piece about the way the schools in the 1st legislative district continue to get shortchanged by the funding formula. I understand his points, however he write that until there is a reevaluation of the funding our schools will continue to "face an uphill battle" and "it needs to change." The assemblyman is in better position than any of us to act. Has he introduced any bills on this topic? Has he told other legislators, he's not voting for their bills unless they support him on this? He may be moving on this, I don't want to be unfair. But tell us how.
