You just don’t see as many poppies around Memorial Day anymore. I learned that May 26th is National Poppy Day. I would hope this grows as a national trend and we see more poppies in memory of our fallen heroes and all military veterans who made tremendous sacrifices -Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.
