The whole point of the reparations discussion is divide and destroy America. Over 500,000 people died in the Civil War and the south was pretty much burned to the ground. So much so that the southern states were impoverished compared to the Northern states for almost 100 years. This country and especially the Southern States paid a tremendous price to eliminate slavery. If we want to bankrupt this country paying people for the sins of past generations we probably owe Native Americans a lot more than 14 trillion dollars.
