It’s not like whales and dolphins can pull out a map, or look at their phones when their primary navigational system, called echolocation, is disrupted by sonar. Imagine sitting in your car at a light, listening to directions on your Bluetooth phone and one of those loud Boom cars pulls up next to you. Without the benefit of visual aids, you’re not hearing those directions, and will probably get lost. I just don’t believe putting power generating pinwheels off our coast is a viable long term solution given the aesthetic and huge environmental concerns being pushed aside for politics and money.
