I was in my car in Cape May on April 5 at 4:15pm and watched a family of 4 cross the closed beach and promenade sign and walk west on the promenade. I then saw a police vehicle go right past them and did nothing to tell them the promenade was closed. I also observed more people walking on the street and the sidewalk. So what was the point in the closing if it was going to be enforced? Total sign of knee jerk reaction by city leaders.
