Trump gave a major speech detailing plans to create millions of manufacturing jobs by turning away from many years of unencumbered Republican policy to actively participate in the North American Free Trade Agreement and the 12-country Trans-Pacific Partnership soon to take effect. After his speech, immediate condemnation was forthcoming from economists and many Republican business leaders and business organizations citing his message as dubious. Instead, these experts advise that his plan would lead to just the opposite with millions of jobs lost, higher prices, and most likely a recession.
