I don't know who is voting against bringing back school budget and board elections to April, but they clearly do not understand the importance of returning to taxpayers their right to vote for a major part of their annual municipal tax bill. Without this right, citizens have little control over outrageous spending by local boards, who now have no fear their over-the-roof spending will enrage us taxpayers. Considering that money is no object to current town spending, April election costs are minimal.
