Generations ago, school kids were taught civics, about how our government works. It's so obvious how lacking this is today, with voters so easily persuaded by politicians, despite how dysfunctional today's politics are. Whatever they promise they'll do if they get in, it will not happen, as the two parties work to deprive each other of any success. Walls, trade restrictions, immigration changes will never happen, since there are never enough votes for such bills to get passed.
