Privatizing the ambulance service in Wildwood would be a huge savings to the taxpayers. The monies that are being spent to keep the 17 EMTs on payroll, provide a pension and other benefits packages is absurd when there are other such ambulance services who would gladly take the job. As insurance pays for the response, treatment, and transport of "victims," I would think it profitable enough to pay for itself. Those savings could be used for many other venues or placed in the general account to improve the quality of life issues that plaque the residents. How about paving roads?
