I doubt an OC spouter would stay in OC if he had to fund beach replenishment with his own money. It's always been foolish to live near water. We don't need to move to Montana or Idaho, we just don't want to keep throwing our tax money into the ocean to protect you. Barrier island residents are like parasites. Government should no longer invest in infrastructure on barrier islands or do anything extra to protect barrier island homes. There are people who would still be employed without tourism, by the way.
