It's absolutely true that more development brings higher property taxes. If development really lowered property taxes, Cape May County would have the lowest property taxes on Earth. Should we just continue to let developers build on every last acre just to keep builders employed? What happens when there is nothing left to build on? We can take measures to prevent more population growth and prevent further declines in the quality of life here. People die and move. So there will always be some houses on the market. We don't need to build new homes.
