Wildwood Crest once again planted U.S. flags commemorating Patriot's Day. Now that all of our weekend celebrations have ended for this year, it seems appropriate that these flags should be removed. Several have disappeared from their assigned corners. Further removal could be accomplished by those who originally placed them and then reused next year. An alternate would be to have Crest citizens remove them for display at their homes. To have those few remaining to endure this coming winter would be a desecration of our national emblem.
