Where was the L.T. planning board and solicitor when the development was approved back in the early 80s for the Heidi and Mindy area? I was present at the meeting to correct the problem of flooding for those residents, and was astonished to hear the presentation of the engineer, who stated that the elevation was only 4.5 feet. I thought elevation 10 was the minimum standard for residential housing? You don't have to be a genius to figure out that there were many people looking the other way. Now it is the taxpayers who will absorb the cost to make things right. Government working for people?
