Echoing the same concerns as Cape May residents on the dangers of shore break waves (causing spinal cord injuries), Cape May Point should address this problem too. Since beach replenishment, the drop offs are getting worse. Educating beach goers about the dangers of shore break waves would be a start. Cape May gives a beach safety brochure when beach tags are purchased and Cape May Point could do the same. The problem should also be addressed with the Army Corp of Engineers and NJDEP to see if there is a solution to fix the sand breaks.
