Are you kidding me? Does North Wildwood really need a deputy chief of the fire department? I have nothing against a paid department, but there is no way that the town can justify a fire chief and a deputy fire chief on the taxpayer rolls. The department is too small to justify this expense. If the present firefighters want upward mobility, they should apply to a larger department. Wildwood City Fire Department made the same mistake; it is a total waste of taxpayer monies in both towns. There are other ways to waste money.
