It looks like the "good ole boy" network of Cape May County lawyers submitting billable hours to defend public officials in Cape May City is hard at work. Two new attorneys were just brought in to defend the city manager and city clerk in the great "comp. time fiasco" that now appears to extend beyond the demoted police chief to other employees. Aspects of this "political circus" may now involve grand jury subpoenas. Questionable actions by city officials may be submitted to a grand jury for criminal action.
