I have made respectful comments in the old format for years. I do not have a Facebook account and never will. I will miss the interaction that comments in the old system allowed. Not everyone likes or is interested in Facebook, but we did like our local issues. You have not done anything that in any way improved the readability or accessibility of your website. Change without positive direction is futile.
Moderator's Note: You’re not alone; others have expressed a preference for the old site, for various reasons – mostly because it was familiar, which is understood and expected. Keeping the old site was not an option, for technological reasons. Since launching the new website, we have made – and continue to make – changes.
