On Sept 17, 1862, my great grandfather fought to preserve the Union (the USA) at Bloody Lane in the Battle of Antietam. Over 5,000 soldiers died in that battle. The South lost that battle, as they ultimately did the war. I ask those who want to fly the Confederate battle colors, once the U.S. defeats ISIS, will you also fly the ISIS flag? After all, the soldiers of the CSA and the soldiers of ISIS struggle toward the same goal, the destruction of the U.S. government. Viewed in that light, the Confederate soldiers were not heroes, but were traitors to the nation of their birth.
